As a musician (I’ve played the oboe since 1981 and was over-blowing recorders for 6 years before that) and a personal trainer, I’m interested in finding out how musicians feel their health and fitness has been affected by being a musician; for better or worse.

If you’re a musician you will know the huge benefits to well-being that making live music can bring to the music maker.  On the flip side, musicians often sit for long periods of time, have less time for sports activities and spend a lot of time socialising (late nights, eating out, drinking alcohol), all of which negatively impact their health and fitness.

Musicians of any type, genre, standard, age or fitness are asked to be part of my research by completing the questionnaire below.
