I just want to get on and work with you, so I’ve kept my terms and conditions to the minimum. By working with me and Thrive Personal Training Limited, you are agreeing to the following:
You understand that the purpose of Thrive’s programmes is to provide safe exercise, nutrition and related guidelines to improve health and fitness. Exercise may include:
- Cardiovascular activities, with or without the use of machines, including for example running, jogging, walking, cycling, steps and other aerobic activities.
- Resistance training activities using, for example, resistance machines, free weights, suspension training equipment, resistance bands and other equipment.
- Flexibility exercises to improve movement around joints and their range of motion.
Exercise programmes are designed to place a gradually increasing workload on the cardiovascular and muscular systems and thereby improve their function. The reaction of the cardiovascular and muscular systems to such exercise cannot be predicted with complete accuracy. There is a risk of other changes that might occur during or following the exercise. These changes could relate to blood pressure and/or heart rate and could result in death or serious injury.
Whilst I will be monitoring you when you train at my gym, you understand that you are responsible for monitoring your condition throughout the exercise programme wherever you train, with or without me, and that should any unusual symptoms occur, you will stop and take appropriate action. You are free to stop training at any time.
If you have any questions, please ask them at any time.
Any information provided by you to me has been provided honestly, including any pre-exercise questionnaires, and will be treated as private and confidential by me.
You release Ian Locke and Thrive Personal Training Limited from any liability with respect to any damage or injury which may be suffered whilst exercising or following other guidelines.
Face-to-face products & services
Payment is required in advance, either by bank transfer, PayPal transfer or card payment (via PayPal). If paying on the day, please bring cash with you.
I will be as flexible as possible in moving your sessions around, however please give me 24 hours notice (excluding weekends). Shorter notice means you lose that session as I will be unlikely to fill it with someone else. I’ve only ever had to move a handful of sessions at short notice since 2011, but if that does happen within 24 hours (excluding weekends), I will re-book that session with you and give you a free session for messing you around. Seems fair to me.
Refunds for unused sessions will be made on a pro-rata basis if requested.
Training sessions last for 1 hour. That includes time for warm up, exercise and stretching. Feel free to arrive a few minutes early to get changed and ready to go, but be considerate if I am with another client please.
You expect me to bring my A game and I expect you to be prepared for the session. That means having appropriate clothing, being appropriately nourished and being able to train without distractions. This is your time. Capitalise on it.
If your health status has changed in a way which you think may impact your ability to participate in the training programme, you should notify me at or before the beginning of the training session.
Online training programmes
Payment is required in advance, either by bank transfer, PayPal transfer or card payment (via PayPal). Once I have your payment, you will receive the programme details as soon as possible, usually within a couple of days if not immediately. To avoid overwhelming you with information to read, I will send you updates for future months as the weeks move on.
Towards the end of your purchased programme, I will contact you to remind you to pay for the next set of programmes. They will not be sent until payment has been received.
Once payment has been received and I have sent you the first programme details, cancellation and refunds are not allowed.
The documents I will send you are how I make a living and Thrive Personal Training Limited has copyright over them. That means you cannot copy, distribute or otherwise share them in any way other than for your own use.
If your health status has changed in a way which you think may impact your ability to participate in the programme, you should speak to your GP.
Online nutrition-only programme
Payment is required in advance, either by bank transfer, PayPal transfer or card payment (via PayPal). Once I have your payment, you will receive an email invite to join ProCoach as soon as possible, usually within a couple of days if not immediately.
As the programme runs for 12 months, I suggest you set up a monthly standing order to Thrive Personal Training Limited’s bank account to ensure continued access to the programme. If payment is not received by same date each month, your access to the programme may be suspended.
Once payment has been received for a month, cancellation and refunds are not allowed. You can however stop the programme at any time – there is no commitment for you to stay on the programme for the full 12 months, though finishing early means you will not get the full benefit of the programme.
The information you will receive from the programme is how I make a living and is for your own use only.
If you have any health conditions affected by nutrition or exercise, then you should consult with your GP before commencing the programme.
